Default sylvan lake report

Lots of little walley tonight and one pike 53 centimeters. Caught trolling with flatfish spoons and rubberish minnow. Nice thing was all were easily released! Saw two big dead walley floating....
Anyone have suggestions for how or where to catch the keepers?
Thanks!

53 inch pike? Sure you don't mean cm's?

Both walleye and pike - particularly larger ones - seem to be going deep these days with the extended warm weather Alberta is getting. Start in 30-40ft of water when you're searching them out.

oops. edited to say centimeters. You were probably all wondering what I was complaining about. lol
Any good whitefish or perch locations? no downrigger so deep is quite difficult I think.

Yesterday after the storm we caught 16 little walleye in two hours. This morning, 2 pike and a bigger walleye from shore without bait. Great fishing. Still looking for spots for the lake whitefish perch and burbot though. Ideas?

yeah, I use leaders or flurocarbon 30pd test line. Pike snap it way too easy and I lose all my money on lures. lol
