Interested in building a rod, would be first build but not interested in purchasing all the supplies required, not for the first attempt.
Anyone willing to provide lessons and supplies? At a minimum I’d pay for supplies needed.

You can buy a kit. Wrapping jig is nothing more than a cardboard box. Use a book for a tensioner.

You Tube is your friend. It's not hard. I built a 6WT switch rod my first try.
