Good thing, I have just got laied off, might be a couple weeks, till the projects around the house get started.
its twenty years since I last had cracked ribs, Think I was tougher then, cause don't reamber it being this rough.

Well??? They didn't break themselves.
I've had broke ribs. They were usually preceded by "Oh yeah!", "Oh No!", 'Watch this", "Whoa you SOB!!" Or "I suppose you didn't know she was my wife?"

So cough it up See what I did there?

Broke and cracked ribs before. It sucks, only thing I can suggest is hug a pillow

Had my sternum cut open right down the middle and will strongly second the hug a pillow routine.

Broken ribs hurt like taxes for sure.....did you say something like 'Come at me bro!' just before it happened?

Done that. Twice. Extremely uncomfortable. Breathing, getting up in the morning...sneezing is the worst ever. The ER doc gave me T3s, but the side effects of those were horrible. It really doesn't matter how much water you drink.

Feeling your pain, southern...it'll be a few weeks yet.

And don't even think about spooning..... Screams of agony are not the same as screams of ecstasy....

I had them twice, once it was accompanied with a punctured lung. Having broken ribs suck, but having your neck swell up with air while you have broken ribs is down right annoying. Can't walk, can't sit, can't lay down, can't laugh, can't cough. Life's tough for the first couple weeks, but at least it ain't your back!

PS, I once separated my ribs from the cartilage in the middle, that was way worse than the broken ribs.

I hear you SM. I sleapt half propped up on a stack of pillows for a few weeks. Getting out of bed a half inch at a time really sucked as well. Another vote for the pillow as well, makes the laughing and the coughing almost bearable. Nothing helps with a sneeze tho

Broke a few ribs back in the day, but they all deserved it. Hope you have a speedy recovery.

Wife got SIX that way. Do you want me to call an ambulance ? NO. She changed her mind only after she managed to drag herself into the house. Back at er after three weeks, not what the doc recommended.
