I was out that way yesterday. Still a ways to go. From what I saw...

Sibbald Lake / 100% Open Water (Just Stocked)

Sibbald Meadows Pond / 100% Open Water (Just Stocked)

Barrier Lake / 100% Open Water (Low Levels)

Mount Lorette Ponds / 100% Open Water (Just Stocked)

Wedge Pond / 98% Frozen

Lower Kananaskis Lake / 85% Frozen (Spillway Open)

Upper Kananaskis Lake / 90% Frozen (North Entrance Construction)

Spray Lakes / 95% Frozen (Low Levels)

Buller Pond / 95% Frozen

Goat Pond / 50% Frozen

That's all I really had time to check. But I was told by AP that they also stocked Grotto Pond.

This satellite photo was taken a few days ago, looks like both the upper and lower lake are ice-free.

Looked at the boat launch on the lower Thursday, open there but the water is to the end of the launch, no doable to launch. You'll wreck your trailer as it just drops off when you get in the water

Hey, Scott.

Yeah, I've been using Sentinel Hub, too. GREAT resource, but I get fooled by it sometimes. It's a photo angle/depth of field thing, I think. Looking at the stills they have I could have sworn they were ice free and ready for some paddling.

Sean84, did you happen to see what lower was like? I'm hoping for some open water near the Canyon launch and around the Smith Dorrien Bay. I love going up there to watch bulls cruise.

And no.... I don't fish in the bay. Just fish spotting.

Thanks for the info , guys.

Hey, Garlicmarshmellow.

must have posted at the same time! I'm just taking the canoe out for a bit so no problem with low water. Did you see if the bay was open?

Beware the low water levels at this time of year.

Ripped an axle off my trailer years ago, pulling the boat out of the water. Turns out it was my suspension hung up on the last concrete block on the launch, and not just the wheels.

You can imagine how fun that was to deal with!
