Fair amount of rain and wet snow east of Calgary over the last week or so. Ground has a thin layer of snow now and 1 C. Supposed to rain at 1:00 pm right to 3am Friday. Not much Friday and Saturday but more coming Sunday right thru till Thursday next week. Was real dry , we need it.

Started raining here yesterday just before noon, just dumped 30mm ( 1 2/10" ) out of the gauge, it's supposed to rain all night here, the ground is just sucking it up like a sponge, we needed it

Big smile from me, we got a little over 2"s here in the Sturgeon River Valley just outside St Albert and like everyone we really needed it. Wonder what the guys around Spirit River are seeing. It was popcorn fart dry up there a few weeks ago, even though the dugouts had pretty good water fill at the time.

Apparently, we may have a 2" total for the last wk or so, yesterday was supposed to be 1.27". Ground shud have enough moisture now to make farmers happy, some were hard at seeding before the rain hit. Be a couple of days before they can get out again now. Temps are supposed to jump hard into 70's, may hit 80 over the weekend. Bulk of the duck ponds still don't show much, some hard to tell because of vegetation in them, some that have been dry for the last couple of years, in some areas, showing a bit of water now, not many though, and it's pretty shallow.

Emptied 3" out of the gauge over the last week near Moose Jaw, so grateful to say the least. Been a long time coming.

We're about 20 mins east of Edmonton - received about 1.5 inches in the last 24 hours or so. Definitely needed, some of the little ponds around here were starting to host more mud than water and I've seen some pretty unhappy looking waterfowl struggling to find good nesting sites.

south of medicine hat we got about 1 1/2 inches, probably a bit more then that because of the unbelievable wind coming from the west at around 60 kph.
