Default Florida Hog Down!

Got my first bow kill on Wednesday, while on vacation in Florida. I guess all the Sunday mornings at Jim Bow's paid off. The hunt was quick using the dogs but fun none the less. I ended up having a 20' shoot right to the heart. The pig took 3 steps and tipped over. Had a nice BBQ with friends before returning to Calgary.

Details on who you went with and all that stuff would be great. I have thought of doing that myself.

I went for a meat hog and it cost $150 no size limit. Trophy hogs are $350 and up. They have stand/blind, spot and stalk and dog hunts. I went with a dog hunt and was surprised at how quick it took to get my hog. It all depends on what type of hog the dogs pull away from the group. You tell the guide what you want before you start. If the dogs pull the opposite then you start over. If I go again I will try the stand/blind setup. Good way to spend a day when you are on vacation!
