Default Jackfish lake by rocky.

Just wondering how the fishing is there? Any nice size walleye? And how is the ice there usually in the winters. ? Thanks for your help

The way I heard it the walleye were accidentally stocked into the lake with some perch stocking. There is not an opportunity for successful spawning of walleye so those that were stocked was all that were in the lake.

I caught a number of those years ago and ate them. As far as I know there are small perch and small pike in the lake. I have not fished it in some years.

Good moose hunting in the area though.

there is a zero limit on walleye always was as far as i know.

Ice is very unstable in winter, walk on only. Fishing is hit and miss as well, nothing big to really worry about there.
