Good idea, I was going to suggest the same thing. There is a sticky in the hunting section and there should be one here as well, just to make things simple for everyone.

Are you actually looking for a buddy to fish with or is this strictly a means for a sticky?
Eric and I are heading out on Sat to Spray, if you are interested

Lets keep this thread for its true meaning. Once you post that you are looking for a ride, or wanting someone to accompany you to said lake or on said day then any responses should be held topm's Please do not treat this thread as a chat thread as that's the fastest way to kill it.

I live SW of Rocky Mountain House. Close to Mitchell Lake & Struble Lake and only an hour from Peppers Lake. I have been laid up with a back injury so I am cooped up a lot. My wife works all week in Rocky.
I have some fishing tackle but no tent olf auger. I'd like to try Mitchell Lake.
I read the stocking report and it says that for at least two years they have put Brown Trout in it along with Rainbows. The Browns were 15cm when they were released both years. I wonder how big they'd be now? They airate the lake too.
Just wondering?

Default travel buddy

Am planning a fishing trip in last week of Jun. Not sure where yet? Slave lake? Vancouver island? Cuba? PEI? Any suggestion please? Went to Florida in Jan by myself for four days of fishing. Would be nice to have some company this time.
Anyone want to go together?

Looking to meet some new fishing buddies for the upcoming season. I'm pretty new to the Alberta fishing scene, but have fished quite a bit growing up. I've got gear, and a car but lack the experience of where to go fish. I've tried using the google based fishing map, but I've been skunked more often than not.

PM if you want to get together sometime. Weekends work best for me.

Default new to Alberta

Hi there, I am new to the Alberta fishing scene, I've grown up my whole life fishing for salmon and steelhead in BC, but have never been out on the hardwater. I am living in Edmonton and would really appreciate some help in learning how to fish the prairies.

Baitfisher, did you ever find a fishing partner for Tuesday? Where were you thinking of going? Ice fishing or open water?
