My understanding is that the cells are all from 3 factories in China? Does this make them all the same? Found this deal, worth it? Looking at the 12ah.

There might be only 3 but the quality control is not the same I suspect for each brand name battery built at them. This was I learnt during my work career dealing with China
The cells are built by only a couple of factories in China, as you mentioned. The BMS (Battery Management System) is what's proprietary to each brand. How much better you believe one BMS is than the other is how you justify buying a Dakota Lithium battery over the one you've linked.

Cabela's does seem to have either the Dakota 10aH or the similar Marcum Lithium 10ah on sale every 3 or 4 weeks for around $100. The Marcum comes with a charger as well.
I'm using my 18V Milwaukee battery with voltage regulator to power my Garmin 95SV. Mounted everything in Pelican box big enough to install Livescope one day. I have a couple 9Ah Milwaukee so I should get a full day on the ice with one.
