Default Gull Lake Report & Pics 3-3-12

Got on the lake at 8:30 at Eberling and setup...while setting up I saw perch and whitefish on the camera.

Caught 3 perch 8"-10"...1 22" pike...1 small burbot on jig and minnow and lost 1 decent whitefish on yellow wire worm.

I also saw 2 or 3 walleye on the camera.

Thanks for sharing. I plan to go gull next week. How is the snow on the lake? Is it difficult to drive on the lake?

I got Tyangelo's overflow...I was just 50 yards from him.

As for the snow I drove on with a minivan.

Well, With all the help from some very knowlegable, helpfull people on this this board I finaly got me a whitie.

Got to gull about 10 am or so as my fishing buddy was watching TV when I called him at 7:00 and said where are you? We started fishing at 10 and must have seen 30 or so whites. I think if we would have been fishing at 8:30 or so I would have got my limit but beeing so late I think we hit the end of the bite. I got one and he got zero. The whites there don't seem to be camera shy from what I saw. Almost forgot to take a pic of her as I had allready had her scaled. Here is the pic. Oh! And big thanks to everyone and all the tips. We fished on the east side of the lake.

Lets see??? Burbot, got one at wab about 30 years ago but that was it. We saw one white that took a look at our hooks that was really big. A good two pounds bigger than the one I caught. Would have been nice to get that one.

Were you in the same area as when we had the gathering Ty? Was there on sunday after limiting on whites on Sylvan, and ended up with 3 nice eating sized perch...

More or less, ya. Current changes seemed to trigger the bite. FH7 noticed it too.

Man I'm glad I came out with you that day, that area seems real good for them. Lots of small weed beds for them to hide in from what I can tell, just gotta get on the edge of them...
