Last black from that line was one you caught Pete. I haven’t caught a black in 12 years in all my areas. Sarah tells me that it was her snare lol.

Not a harvest pic but a pic trying to harvest. I think it’s about every 10 years I forget that beaver dams have crappy ice even though it looks good.

Life is tough a little toughfer being a trapper. Cold 5 km walk out. When I went back to retrieve there was 6 inches of ice gripping the slead but it all worked out in the end.

Thanks for the pic and this note. I just remembered my other reason for not trapping beavers through the ice.

Default Best check this season

I had a couple of baits going this year (second trapping season) and managed to snag a few; this was my best check (by a lot!). I also managed to snag my first wolf, a few muskrats, some beavers, a marten and some weasels and squirrels. I have a few pics if anyone is interested. I'm from Peace River and curious to see if CamDec recognizes my truck

Default 2022 Pic

Well didn't even hang one snare again this year. My work schedule is just to unpredictable. Call & shoot whenever not working. Shot 65 total this year & put them all up myself. 6 of them weren't worth skinning, but the rest very good! The ones that did sell out of the first few I sent in for FHA auction averaged $51 US. I will be sending all of these ones in as well, although still a little worried.

I have a bunch framed that had trapping pictures or hunting ones I liked. The one in the pic is Mabe 1936? I will take some photos when I am at the cabin next time.
