Default Hunting Near Nordegg

Thinking about going on a hunting trip near nordegg for white tail and elk. Wondering if that area is a good area to hunt or not.

I hunt that area a lot. This year I've seen nothing but small deer.
Hardly worth shooting
Did see some elk in there but no bulls. Most of the elk were taken out early in the season.

I'm sure you want to look hard enough there might be a few left.

I was up there the middle of October, we seen some Mulie and a few 3-4 point WTs, Along with a Cow and Calf Moose, Seen a few sets of ELK tracks up the Nordeg River road,

Just North of Baldy In the Plataue I took a Shot and missed a 3point ELK other then that the only Elk we seen in the area were the Herd right that was inside of town.

To bad they stayed with in City limits Or I would have had a nice 6 point.

We were all over that area from the Chungo down NRR we seen lots fo deer and that was pretty much it.

I am hoping to get out there later this week to take another look to see if I can get an ELK.

If anyone has any suggestions I am up for it.

Lots of deer northeast of town up the Harlech road. I haven't seen a bull elk in years in 328, but lots of cows.

The country west of Nordegg is in a FLUZ now, so only a few trails are open to quads. Depending on what you like this might be good or bad!

I'll be out in Nordegg this weekend too. Filled my sup tag there in Sept. Now I still have whitey buck and mulie buck draw. Elk would be bonus as I saw many there this summer. Shto the doe just a bit down the chungo road. Further North on the trunk road is mulie country, (I'm only telling because it's the last weekend of the year). GOOD LUCK
