Default Bass fishing tips near Koocanusa BC

Hey everyone, just wanted to see if anyone would have some tips or info they'd like to share about the bass fishing in the Jaffray/Kookcanusa area. I will be going to visit my mom this weekend and she's going to let me and my girlfriend borrow her kayaks to do some bass fishing. I've never caught a largemouth before, so naturally im excited, but quite green as to what to use and where to go. My bit of research has told me that Tie lake, surveyors, Suzanne lake, and baynes lake are the bass fisheries in the area. I'm more concerned with catching than trophy hunting for my first trip, but having the prospect of something sizable would certainly be nice.

I fly and spin fish, and am partial to whichever method will produce best. I have an assortment of streamers and lures, but would love to hear people's recommendations on new ones to use.

Any info that could be given to make this trip successful would be incredibly appreciated. Thanks to all and good luck on the water.

Cheers!

I love throwing Texas rigged senkos or a football head jig with crawdad trailer.

I've had good luck at Suzanne for both bass & rainbows, with big olive leeches and a variety of buggers. The Bow River Bugger was successful.

I use a chartreuse orangey booyah spinner bait with a green minnow trailer, it looks like a pumpkin seed... Bass love it.

Throwing anything creature like with a hook under docks or structure works great.
