Default camera

Wayne,
Let me know how you like that camera. I've been saving up this winter for one as well......can't decide between the go pro or the stealth. One thing i like about the stealth is the remote. Is the stealth water proof.....i.e. can it shoot under water video like the go pro?

Wayne I will have to get out with you for some sturgeon action this year. I just received an Amundson Sturgeon rod yesterday that looks like it will lay the hurt to anything Alberta waters have.

I can see a summer filled with videos from the Rollinhillbilly this year.

going to be interesting for sure, have to come up with a pole mount so I can get the camera down in the water with the fish, and a mount for my pontoon as well. now just need to figure out a swear filter for the mic and I will be all set especially when a pike hits a topwater right at my feet, I tend to get a wee bit excited!

Nate that sounds good, I found a couple local runs very close to home last fall Im looking forward to exploring, and actually found another one yesterday while driving around. I have a couple things Id like to accomplish this year, catching a sturgeon from the pontoon, and maybe even one on the flyrod, just to see if it can be done. have to cheat and use real bait though.

I have a pontoon again and have wanted to do a few floats down some rivers this summer.

I can just imagine watching someone hook into a big sturgeon and getting dragged around for awhile.

The good part is that you should be able to stay on top of the fish and put some solid pressure on it the whole time.

the bad part is I will have to pack a couple days worth of food if its a big fish at least I can just pee over the side! Id like to float from here to the Hat once the levels drop, or at least down through the forks. we should get a bunch together and do a group float some weekend. got an inflatable to haul the gear

I am game for a big long float. I was talking to a few guys about taking my cedar strip row/drift from Lethbridge to Taber sometime this summer. It would probably take a whole weekend to do but would be a fun trip I think.

I will have to do a trial float from here to the forks, if we can do a gettogether down there Id like to park the truck there and float down, my problem is I stop and fish every good pool, could take me weeks to get that far used to take me 4 hours to do a 30 minute float in Calgary, longer if I got into some good fish. got my biggest trout that way, you can sneak into some good spots without scaring the fish.

That's awesome! Drifts are good (I've done a lot of research because I bought a gopro hero2), what made you choose the drift?

I will have to see if I can find that show online somewhere. I am pretty sure I would laugh the whole time watching something like that go down.

actually the sale price was what convinced me, as well as watching a ton of videos made with the camera. there are even a couple tv shows that are done with these cameras.

Just a note, I own a go pro and it shoots disappointing under water video. I've heard this can be remedied with an aftermarket lense though. Just something to consider if you plan to use it underwater often.

thanks, If I do use it in the water it would be pretty close to the surface, have to do a lot more experimenting with it before I get it all figured out
