Default skunked at nsr april 28

so it looked ok at 3:00 pm and there calling for snow tomorrow so i thought what the heck. no point in giving river conditions as it's going to be muddy for a couple weeks and the ice floe conditions change daily.i got skunked but others were catching wallies and burbot and AO member dustin beached a respectable burbot. oh well, at least it got cold and windy and then started to rain. lol......next time.

I went down to the river today too.

Finally caught my first fish out of the river. I caught 4 Burbot and a hefty sucker over 2 hours.

Bigger Burbot

Tiny Burbot

Hefty Sucker (those are 8" needle nose pliars beside him)

Btw, does anyone know what species of sucker this is?

I was down at the river today as well, the wind got pretty bitter but I got in before the rain got bad. I will have to try again sometime this week.

Ive found that if you stick your hand in the water and cant see your fingertips. The shinier the better. Last week nothing bit on the worms for me but the minnows attracted a few. I even tried putting a spinner blade on the worm hook to no avail. hitting the nsr in the am will post results.
