Saw a few other guys post about their antelope. Figured I would put my story up as well.
A few of us decided it was finally time burn our priority 14's this year so we headed down south with no idea what to expect.
Got down a bit early for some scouting and getting permission. Within a couple hours we had more land to access than we could hunt all week. Found a few antelope that looked good. They are hard to judge when you've never seen them before.
Anyways we had two decent ones down by noon opening day. Not mine so I won't put up tgeir pictures. I held off a bit hoping for a really good one. I don't think I have ever looked through my spotting scope so much. Also don't think I know enough to tell good from really good.
Finally on Wednesday evening we found one that we had seen Sunday and decided to take him. He was different as he was a lot wider than the average ones we had seen.
Also managed to luck into a few pheasants, and other birds. Really fun hunt. Too bad it'll be another bunch of years before I can go again.
Also thanks to a few members who I talked to over the summer and provided some great info.
