Default Good spots near Winnipeg

Anybody familiar with fishing near Winnipeg? Anything other than the Red? Work is sending me there for two weeks and I am hoping to get out. Never been to Winnipeg.

Red River near Lockport is great.

Not sure about lakes, but I'm told all the good ones are a fair distance from the city.

Default You poor man

Two weeks , prison sentence LOL

There really isnt any place closer thaN an hour ...

North ... The beaches along Lk. Wpg. have breakwaters and piers

perch fishing and odd sauger .

East ... The power dams along the Wpg river produce fish

depending on water flow ...

But really those big cats in the red , this time of year is something you cant experience here ...

There is a website full of info www. ManitobaAnglers.com

Have a good one , I usually go back for the burgers
