Default Danielle Smith first press conference

Since UCP thread is closed thought you may want to judge her on her first press interaction as Premier. Program starts at about the 27:00 minute mark. I was impressed with what she had to say. Didn't back down or brush off any of presses questions. Sit back and judge our new premiers vision. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MFwv-nbUD4M.

When asked, she confirmed that Hinshaw will not remain in her position.

Any change would be a welcome sight, glad to see some things getting looked after, that’s not what we are used to in these past few years…👍👍

She has a lot of ground to cover before this coming spring. A major cabinet overhaul and past damage repair the starting point. But as things sit now, I would be shocked if Rachel didn’t blow her out of the water.

I sure hope Danielle DID NOTsay that publicly. Hinshaw deserves to know first. Reminds me of Comey finding out on the evening news. Slimy!!! Don't like Comey but he deserved better. So does Hinshaw!

I didn’t like that as well as whining Kenney did not say congrats. It looked petty on both of them.

It’s a fresh start. Move on. Stay positive. Message clearly.

She has all eyes on her. Keep business to business.

It does lack professional courtesy, but if Hinshaw couldn’t see it coming, she’s as dumb as her haircut.

I didn't say anything in the other thread because I didn't really see a need, but if people still think Rachel is going to crush anything they need to remember this:
In the previous election we had two right wing parties and the NDP. We just went through the scandal with Redfraud , and then Jim Prentice told everyone that we were broke, and if we wanted to know the reason, we should look in the mirror.
That ****ed off a lot of conservatives.
At the same time we had dear Danielle cross the floor with six or 7 WR members and that REALLY hurt the Wild Rose brand.
With all of that, the NDP could still only muster 40% of the vote.

Now with one right wing party that most people are content with , some of you still think the NDP even have a chance?
Laughable.

According to Rebel News
Reporter asked if she would keep Hinshaw as her public health advisor
Answer No

Good for you Danielle

She was asked by a reporter, and she certainly did say that.

Hinshaw was a Notley appointee, and not my choice, but she certainly deserved better.

I just heard Smith say she would be replacing the health team, in my mind that said Hinshaw was on the way out.

At the end of the day, the whole AHS should be replaced. No more status quo. Rebuild the whole thing from the ground up, make people uncomfortable, Shake the tree, call it how you see it.

Meh. She sure seemed to control a lot of lives from the same mic. Turn about is fair play. But I can assume she knew.

The Karen's on the left are losing their minds, so I will just assume she is on the right track.

Right there Piker....

The exact measuring stick..... Pretty much all media outlets are still pushing the liberal agenda..

Other than the Turd, two other people I can't tolerate is Lori Williams from Calgary MRC and that Dwayne Bratt from Calgary U of C....(oh yes there are more and add Notley too...lol). ...

People are sheep and believe what they hear...

They confused the Sovereignty Act with separation....Lets see what day 2 brings....

Hummmm...

It seems to me, there are many, many conservatives that are very disillusioned with the whole party. With that in mind, many of those people will either not bother to vote, or spoil their ballot, so they can still claim to be entitled to complain. Either one of these scenarios is indirectly a vote for the orange!

Picking pointless fights with AHS over past actions because of butthurt is a good way to lose the election.

She promised to deliver a lot, and there have been plenty of conservative promises made and broken.

My opinion will rest on whether we are subject to a gun ban by the end of today.

First day in office as promised Danielle, no second chances.
