Default Helicopters at Halfmoon Lake

Howdy fellas!!!

Please welcome new episode of Fish Tail TV over from Halfmoon Lake.
I was mine third or forth time at this lake, but the first time when it happened to be that I was there by myself. Quite a great felling, especially on the well known lake around Edmonton.

Nothing new as for fish, same little perchy biting there, but I got lucky to see and film two chopers flying so low, and so close to me, which gave me massive goose bumps...

Check it out yourself

Couple of pictures as well

Thanks for watching!
Stay tuned, got more stuff to come.

Tight lines!

I had a similar experience at Half Moon last year. Got buzzed by a couple of Griffon helicopters, but my cell was in the truck, so I didn't get any video evidence. I wondered if the pilots were as surprised to see a lone fisherman on the ice as I was to see a couple of choppers flying below treetop level. Stunted perch was all I caught as well.

If your talking about Halfmoon that's north of BonAccord, I live across the road and I swear some nights they are on top of my house.

Hahaha, so you are the pilot as well? What a coincidence! Yeah, your friends must've scared me. Lol.
Do you need to fly that low, training to hide of the radar or something, or simply like to give a buzz to the fishermen?

Yes, that lake exactly. Seems like they're often guests over there.

well I don't fly for the military so I couldn't say for sure what those two are up to, most likely training of some sort, or they saw you and decided to give you a buzz, both are pretty probable lol
if I'm flying by a lake and see some guys ice fishing I'll get down low every time.
