Default Buck lake

Due to the recent ridiculous warm weather, has anybody been to buck lake that would like to share an ice report and how the access areas are? More so on the north end by the provincial park and the big cabins across from Calhoun.

Thanks

Don't go on at Calhoun bay. That creek that flows in there will have a foot of overflow and slush on top. The access point at buck lake town should be one of the better bets.

Not sure of the condition but you can try TWP RD 464 - 2 miles north of buck lake townsite west side of lake. Drive straight east on 464 right onto the ice. Usually easy.

I am planning to hit the lake. I caught my PB perch there this summer, 34cm. Was actually surprised. Is the lake good for whites?

The whites are big and very elusive. A lot of the old guys like to go to the NE corner of the lake for whites.

The record whitefish for Alberta comes from Buck lake.
