Default Salmon/Halibut Charters, Prince Rupert

Time to start booking for June trip. Can anybody recommend a good charter captain with a 25' plus boat? Don't want to go out in one of the smaller aluminum boats cause my back can't take the pounding.

Sorry but hes number 2 behind SUnset Charters. Cant go wrong with them. He is genuinely a great guy and loves his fish. He asks that you only take home what you can eat and to release all of the big fish. He even goes as far as having the knotless nets as its easier on the fish.

Hate to say it but your both wrong lol. Deep Spring Charters is top notch. Always on the fish, nice gear, perfect size boat. Hes first off the pier every morning and a wealth of knowledge.

Thanks for all the info! I'm going to check these out. Looking for two consecutive day trips. Went on "Ocean Star" three years ago for a four nite, five day trip north of Rupert towards Alaska. Fantastic and highly recommend to anybody looking for great fishing, superfood and allround good time!

Wild catch adventures. Leo palmer is the guy. This will be our 4th consecutive year. Can't get any better of a guy and fisherman.

With the US exchange rate you may want to start booking ASAP. Lots of Americans in BC right now with our 40% of exchange rate sales!!!!

Well, based on the recommendations for Deep Spring Charters, tried to book with him for anytime June this year. He's fully booked for this year and most of next! Americans are definitely taking advantage of the exchange rate.

Ended up booking with Ted Frohlich Charters and he only had one week left in June for this year. So, yeah, if you're planning to fish out of Rupert, or anywhere on west coast for that matter, you had better book now and not wait for the Boat and Sportsman's shows.

Pretty far way to drive if you get there with no charter reserved. You could be out of luck!

We were up there the 1st two weeks in August. Caught two coho around Porcher Is. Found out fishing was better up top of the Work channel. Up there we would get a spring/king for every two cohos.
