Default HID Headlights

Thinking about buying a HID kit for my 2008 Ram. I'm looking for good quality and as bright as I can get within the law. Fog lights too. Anyone have any experience with these kits?

I hate HIDs, even when aimed properly the reflection off of snowy surfaces, ice road or wet surfaces is absolutely 100% blinding to me. I am sure others have the same experiences especially at night.

When dot approved ones are properly installed and aimed they are fine.

Are you getting a projector housing to install them in or are you just using the stog reflector housing? If the later then you will have a lot more light but it won't be controlled as it would be in a projector housing and you will be blinding people even with low beams. Secondly for the fog lights they are really not great. If its all about having all your lights match then go ahead but if its for actually being able to have them give you better vision then halogens are better in the fogs. As for kelvin temp. You shouldn't exceed 6000k IMO. Any higher and you take away from the lumens output and only add color after that(bluish purple). And bizenons are hid on both low and high where the regular ones usually are only low beams and the high beams are still halogens. You will also need a relay maybe and need to consider the DRl's whether you need to unhook the module or if there is a fuse you can just unplug it. You'll figure it out

I have had them in my truck for just about three years now, first thing I did was adjust them. I can count on one hand how many times I have been flashed. Stay away from the cheap kits, they are garbage.
