Battery charger
Looking for a bench charger for my trolling motor battery. Anyone have a charger they are happy with. Thanks

Not sure if you are just running a single battery but I bought a XPS Intelligent charger at Bass pro, charges all three of my batteries (2 marine and one crank) install in my boat, just plug it in, when charged it says "Go Fish". Love it.

I have used this one for a couple years and have no complaints. When set for auto it does a thorough job but should be put on overnight to give it time to go through the charging cycle. If you don't have the time for that, you can set it to charge at a higher amperage rate.
I see its on sale this week at 40% off.

Man so many choices. My battery is toast after 2 yrs, quite a few cycles. Am looking at a smart charger of some sort. Right now I just plug my battery in at 10 amps for 12 hrs. I assume I am over charging it a little, but without a hydrometer who knows. Smart charger of some sort seems to be the way to go. I guess I'll need a new battery in the spring as well. Thanks for your input.

I placed a Minn Kota Marine charger on my boat so I can plug it in and forget about the batteries all winter. My boat is a model year 2006 and I have not replaced the trolling battery yet. Maybe next year as it is getting weak.

What I like about mine is its a multi stage that will check for battery problems and tell you which one, & reconditioning mode plus a bunch more.

Battery tender is what i use. Nice and small, though it takes a few days to charge due to the .75amp output on it.

Smart chargers or conditioning chargers are the way to go .....
They start at high amps, and pulse to get things moving in there, and then cycle down to a trickle to maximize the energy they store in your battery improving longevity.
Battery holds more juice and last longer ...... recent smart charger technology is the way to go.

Just wondering if you picked up a charger yet. Which one did you settle on?
