Default Mushroom Hunting - Eastern Slopes
Afternoon,

Going out this weekend south of Hinton to do some mushroom hunting? Thinking red tops for sure and maybe morels?

Wondering if anyone has been out and finding any?

Don’t forget to look up for some of the best varieties. The Oysters have really been coming out the last week

Red tops are out west of Sundre, I believe they are King Bolete's?

No, they are aspen boletes. But very tasty!

Was out with a friend for a short walk in the field that we harvested red tops 4 years ago. Got a bag full of them, one third went to th e garbage - too wormy, the rest ended up on my table!
