Are there any good areas for random camping near Sundre or even RMH? Looking for somewhere that does not currently have a fire ban. Just quiet backcountry camping maybe near water (not bringing the RZR and not a partier)
I'm from Lethbridge and I am used to camping in the Crowsnest Pass so don't really know that area at all.
Go out in the Burnstick area. Lots of random camping all over and last I looked it wasnt in the red zone on the fire app. Do check as it can change quickly.
head west of sundre until you run out of pavement at the james river
there are some nice camping spots along the river or you can take the first road to the right ( rig street ) tons of camping spots there
at the north end of rig street is the clearwater river aprox 18 km
