Default Blue Jays Wild Card is a go

Blue Jays have clinched a Wild Card playoff spot today. The Orioles lost and mathematically that puts them out and the Jays in.

I like the Jays and have so since the 90’s. I think getting a wild card birth is their victory for the season. Believe the team will get bounced in the wild card series. Still quite young and I get the sense the team make-up lacks heart.

penner; i agree with you, Vlad is supposed to be a leader but two games ago just sauntered to first, last game did not put in 100% running to first etc. He seems PO about something.

I heard rumours that Zack Britton is still sitting in the visitors bullpen

Gonna be nice to have a team to cheer for again. (long suffering Phillies fan)

CAN'T WAIT for playoff ball!

I watch every playoff game and usually pick my sentimental favorite by the second round. And usually pick wrong

Great to see the Jays are in but don't think they have the bullpen pitching to get it done. Yes they can hit but you need good starters and closers.

Playoff ball! I'm totally fine admitting I am such a bandwagon baseball fan. 162 game regular season is absolutely torturous to think about and try to get excited about. But playoff ball, count me in. It just seems so much different. I'll be watching the Jays in just under a weeks time.

Actually most of this season has been amazing to watch! Lots of games that felt very much like playoff ball...

We definitely have a team that can go far, and even all the way, but they need to keep consistent. When they are on, they are on... Not doubt about it. That said, when they are off it falls apart hard.

Ya, I get that. But like Bob said, there's been a lot of good ball this year.

But playoffs, man it's tough to beat. Every single pitch or play made or missed in the field can have such a dramatic impact on the game and the series.

I've got a lot of friends into playoff ball over the years and even some that don't care for Baseball and they are all about it like I am. CAN'T WAIT!

They've played 158 games so far. I've watched 154 live and 4 recorded. So I've watched every game. My plans revolve around watching the game

Haven't watched a Jays games ever.

Listen to a few on the radio, hear the chatter on 960, etc.

Gotta think they can win the first series. Go Jays!

The Rays have always given the Jays a hard go. Let's hope it's not so this time. Gonna find out their worth. "GO JAYS GO" When on their game, they can beat any team. They just have to show up and stay up

Man I hate being right. Got mad when they pulled gausman in a 8 to 1 game said watch mayza will give up a home run and boom 8 to 5 in a few pitches.

I was watching a great game and then realized

I was watching paint dry on a barn.

I’d like a Canadian win… but it’s Toronto… so hard to root doe anything Toronto.

Having grown up along the border in BC and attending more Mariners Gabe's than I can remember I am pretty happy. Still vividly remember them tying the record for most wins in a season then getting in the first round. Go Ms.

They have to get rid of some the deadwood on the pitching staff. Painful loss but " what doez not kill you makes you stronger right". Too bad the Rogers group will not clean house at the executive level. Not a big fan of Atkins and Shapiro.

Typical jay's October baseball, blow it, take their big cheques and head home, can hardly wait for all the crying and excuses come Tuesday,

Bet there was a lot of heads that exploded at Rogers Sports today,

Toronto will have flood warnings out with all the tears flowing.
