Morels around where I pick are probably finished. Was picking them a couple weeks ago.

My friend was at the Italian center in Edmonton today and he bought fresh morels for 20+ bucks a pound. They had several kinds of fresh mushrooms at high prices but good quality.

Filled up a pail a week ago north of Calgary. That was the end of it.

We went on a fly in fishing trip, north of Fort Mcmurray, when arriving, we saw a few tents on the other side, a plane was coming in every day to there spot, now what were they doing there, I bet picking mushrooms., June time line

I can understand morels being in June at higher elevations where spring comes a little later but this time in June not so sure in the NE.
Could be a base camp for firefighters. Could be people displaced by the fires. Could be a film crew camp. Could be a supply drop camp. Could be a reality series base camp. Could be biologists doing a study. Could be forestry or environment students. Could be a FN lake camp. Could be downright elite squatters.
