Default Buzz Bomb

Ok stupid question but it's coming from a mostly fly fishing guy...how do you fish a buzz bomb from shore? Is it just a matter of biffing it out there then retrieving it or do you have to impose some kind of action to it...inquiring minds wanna know!

Not a stupid question as I was wondering as well. I find them pretty heavy and have to retrieve at a faster pace so they do not get stuck in every weed...I was told to use a 2.5 - 3 inch to use on the Bow and seem quite heavy and have never used them before...What is the trick to using them

BUZZ BOMB CASTING
1.Cast lure out into surface feeding fish.
2.Lift rod tip smoothly, about 2 ft.
3.Immediately throw rod tip back towards lure creating slack line - reel in slack. Repeat.

This pic should help.

Typo in pic,, it should say "Rods WITHOUT soft tip are best" in other words a medium action with consistent arch from end to end.

Be quick and deliberate in the shallows - buzz bombs sink like a ............ well ........ heavy lead weight ..... lol.

for me i cast out and retrieve at a good pace and thats worked for me in fast currents. after about 14 plus years of fishing buzz bombs i never realized that there is instructions on the package too.lol the new 2" model came out recently and i am so pumped to try it out. been using the 2.5 to 3 inch models.
