Default Trout in Cardiff Pond alive and well

A few hours this afternoon hanging #12 balanced leeches under indicator. Played about 7 or 8 fish to about 12", so nothing big (as expected) but a good warmup for tomorrow's outing to...

No ice any where.

Thanks for the update Mr Flyguy. I was going to drive out there tomorrow to check the ice.

It's been a few years since I was there but it was all fishing from shore. not a very wide pond.

It's ideal for casting from the shore except watch out for mean willow trees!

There were lots of fish rising yesterday afternoon but I still found a bunch with the balanced leeches at 6 to 8 ft down.

Went up to cardiff pond this week, bit short on places to cast but caught a handful of rainbows on leeches and nymphs, fish only about 9 inches but really feisty
