Default 2016 elk help.

Any good resources out there you'd recommend other than youtube videos or google articles for elk behavior, they all seem pretty generic, and of little or no help in my situation.. if theres a seasoned elk nut around i would love to pick your brain a bit. This will be yr 3 of archery elk.
Already chasing my tail this year.
thanks.

Check out elk101.com and sign up for the elk university. Tons of great info.

Not sure if you commute or not but I started listening to elk hunting podcasts to learn different tactics and different theories on how elk should be hunted.

Explain your situation and maybe someone can advise. Exactly what would you like to learn? I've made many mistakes therefore I have some knowledge about hunting elk.

Shoot me a PM with your questions and the area your hunting. I might be able to help. Killed a few elk before and helped many other people kill them also.

Do crop rotations effect breeding grounds in agricultural land? Or are they habitual when it comes to breeding season?
I see elk in a certain spot every september but theyre nowhere to be found at this point...wondering if i should hang tough until september or go burn some more boot leather now

Burn some boot leather. You never can predict the behavior of Elk in general. Don't abandon the area but you might want to look around to see if they have moved. This years crop at that location may not be the food of choice for them at this time of year.Find the food source and you'll find the elk. I think a herd of elk priority is food first breed second. Exception is rutting Bulls who priority is breed first breed second

Go to where the tracks are thick, pick the spot and stick with it.

It might take them 3 to 5 days to return, but they will my friend.
