Default bow hunting elk 304/305

I drove thru the porcupine hills a few weeks back and it got me wondering about a possible early season bow hunt location. Never hunted there beyond one late season day last year. It is obviously well used and I imagine the rifle season is a bit of a going show.

I imagine that with the pressure the bulls are pretty quiet in there?

Anyone on here have any thoughts?

Default You bet... Come and join the fun

I'll be on the skyline trail selling 'WMU 305 Team Sharpstick 2016' T shirts again this fall.

Business has been excellent last 6-7 years.

I always sell out of xxl and xxxl.

If you like, I can pre order one for you.... Monogram your name on it.

I'm looking into having either Molsons or Booster Juice co-sponsor our 'Season opener Jamoboree'.

Free product coupon when you register and get your optional race bib.

Lololol I stopped hunting there about 6 years ago. More likely to get shot then shoot something. Wish I'd seen in back in the day tho, my father in law tells some good old stories.

Haha, yeah, pre-order me a t shirt! Have you looked into having Metal Mulisha sponsor your event? Or Monster energy drinks? They do a lot of good work around Maclean Creek and Waiporous.

That being said, as long as you understand what the situation is, you won't be disappointed. And if you're willing to do the hard work, I suspect you can get away from 80% of the hunters.

I was looking on google earth and it looks like the area has no shortage of quad trails. So if a person is on foot, you're going to have to put some miles on to separate yourself from the masses.

But it's good to know there will be a place up there where I can get a beer and a cheeseburger....maybe stay for the live band as well

What? There's going to be a live band this year? That's what the beer tent was missing last year.
