Personal best!
It felt great!
I wish I had a go pro. When she came up from the depth (under the boat) and saw the boat....just launched herself like a sail fish and took the line running. So much fun!
Girth......girth you say! She was COVID fat!!
Hopefully the next trip will be less windy and easier to get pics.
Prior to this, I helped my daughter bring in a 42" ice fishing.

Congrats on the pike, and don't ever regret not having the camera. Its good to have some stellar memories just for yourself, that experience for you was pure gold. Trying to convey what it meant to you, via a picture, to others IMO often can almost cheapen the experience a little. So just keep that one for yourself, and re-visit it the next time you're in the dentist chair or your boss tells you to stay late right at quitting time on a Friday
Personally, I don't even bother with the camera any more unless the kids are along. I've got enough pictures of big fish, and somehow most of them never manage to look as big in the picture as they did when I caught them, at this point I'm fine with the memories.
