Default Lake Athabasca - hard water look ahead

Hi.
Living in FMM now for almost a decade I’m debating doing the trip this winter.

Gonna pick up a few more things but I will be pretty well geared up. All considered.
However I want to take my 6 yr old son.

Searching the forums there was lots of good info for big pike and lakers.

Just wondering if anyone is, or would be willing to point a rookie, with a kid in the right direction. I’d trade catching a bunch of good fish for running 50-60kms to catch monsters.

Looking to gain some confidence before going up the North side, or Straight east.

Any insights would be appreciated. Richardson also sounds good for eyes and gators?
Also PM if you don’t want to share on the forum.

Bump.
I did get some good info. and some doable spots on Atahabasca... Just waiting for a road. And some ice most likely...Lol

Wondering about Namur?

I do know the road in, but does anyone have a topo map for Namur?
Can’t seem to find anything online and/or where a guy would start looking for fish. Albeit Lakers or otherwise.
Been out, checked And verified access road during November.

Again - pm me. Feel free.

Sounds like a good adventure. Big remote water and big fish.
