Default We fished there on Saturday

Hi; We fished there yesterday, March 23rd. Lots of snow on the ice. We had a sled and we were much more mobile than the others who drove on with trucks.

If you have a big 4x4 and chains, I think you make get to some of the favourite spots close to shore launch points. Otherwise you are stuck following the tracks of other guys who have driven on already. We some shoveling out their big 4x4's as well.

Otherwise, I would suggest taking a snowmobile.

If we don`t get any more snow or big wind you might be able to make it all the way across to Garnet (far point looking east of PP boat launch-about 2 miles). Trail will be broke. If we get a fast melt between now and Thursday the snow can shrink a ton.

I did hear a rumor about fish being caught out in front of Englishman`s Bay. Don`t know if the campground is still `occupied`though LOL.

Fishing has been slow on our last two trips but you never know.

On the way to the fish hatchery. On the Primrose Lake Road I think. It was just a rumor mind you. We have caught some small ones there in the summer though. The campground was closed a few years back due to some First Nations land claims. You may still be able to access it. Maybe call the band

Maybe it`s just English bay. I`m terrible with names.

Sledding out thursday. Was going exploring , but it would take too long bouncing off drifts. I will be in the middle of nowhere , in a Fatfish with an old Polaris sled if anyone wants to stop by.
