Way ahead of you. Good plan. Trouble is they don't care if we watch or not.

I stopped watching CBC years ago, but as long as the CBC keeps receiving their money from the government, they don't care if we watch or not.

Boycotting would only work if they were a private entity that relied on sponsorship and advertising money. The CBC survives on government welfare, and will continue to do as they please as they are not held accountable. (I very rarely watch it aside from the occasional hockey game)

I boycotted CBC a long time ago. But I’m a firm believer we should boycott BC. I wouldn’t buy a toothpick in your province...

100% with you. Cancelled my annual BC motorcycle trip this year. Not planning on spending a nickel there until the oil starts flowing.

And the impact is about the equivalent to you not buying a tooth pick from BC.

Boycott TV.PERIOD.

Then watch materialism , consumerism and mental illnesses magically disappear, anxiety becomes nothing to worry about and the veil begins to evaporate...the spell of illusion is broken and society can go back to normal.

I listen to CBC radio very occasionally. Do they have a patent on that condescending tone their announcers put on ?

I switch to the CBC news periodically, just to hear their socialist slant on an ongoing news story.

No matter what we do, they will get bailouts.

I was involved in their relocation of their head studio in Calgary, to a new location just below foothills hospital.

I can't disclose what was spent, but it was astronomical. Paid for by you and I. If the general public knew the details there would be a lot more angry people walking around....

Their old building is currently being demolished.

I'm guilty of listening to classical on CBC. I actually prefer the 'intellectual' tone over the grade 5 level banter that is on most radio stations these days.
That's why I mostly listen to CD's.

Every other station plays/shows what people want to hear/see.
They make money from advertising.
CBC Makes money from advertising AND gets its operational costs paid for by the tax payer.
And still no one watches.

Haven't watched a show on CBC is over a decade (anyone know when they stopped airing The Simpson's?) I never listen to CBC radio programing. Personally I would love to see them go under but as long as our government feels the need to keep proving them with funds it will never happen.

Did they not move into the SUNCOR building ??...Seems a bit odd to relocate into a building which is owned by a company, industry they love to hate.

Does Suncor own a building by the foothills hospital?

Want to know something that will REALLY boil yer blood?

The building they are in, was originally an office building. Then 'Network Health' signed a lease, and did a major tenant improvement. The 60,000 square foot facility housed 6 operating theaters, 150 day procedure beds, Nurse Call Systems following Blue Book requirements and Medical Gas Systems following Blue Book requirements. They specialize in knee and hip surgeries. They were formally located below SAIT.

The project was completed up to the point where furniture could be moved in, and then the tenant went belly up and left the developer hanging for many millions of dollars. Then a few months later, on taxpayer money, alberta health put this same company up in the foothills hospital just up the hill. The place sat dormant for a few years, and then even with a great need for medical care and knee and hip surgerys, it was all tore out on the taxpayer dime and CBC put in their new digs.

Boycott it? .......... The CBC should be removed from the gov't teet and shut down.

It's hard to choke down the fact that our tax $$ go towards this CBC who's unwritten mandate is to constantly spew left wing barf to the masses. You can largely thank the CBC for the last federal election results.
