Default Road rage driver gets 5.5years

This guy got p'eed off at someone overtaking him, then runs him off the road and goes back and drives over the passenger and kills him. He is found guilty of criminal negligence and is given 5.5 years.

Why was he not charged with second degree murder or manslaughter?

Too much of this behaviour on the roads, I am surprised there are not more deaths caused by these idiots

That sentence is pathetic. We need an elected judiciary. The clowns we have as adjudicators have no checks or balances, but are in serious need of a stiff dose of reality.

Default Many priors?

Didn't this guy have 69 priors for motor vehicle infractions? I think he was getting a ticket at the same spot one year after he killed the young fellow.

In North America there is nothing more serious in court than stealing from rich people, Bernie Madoff got 150 years, kill your wife, a child, use your vehicle as a weapon, they laugh it off, it could have happened to anyone.

Does any one think Conrad Black was a dangerous felon? He got 5 years.

I don't we have it right, certain crimes should have longer sentences, violence against children comes to mind.
