Default Fundraiser in Leduc

Some of you might have seen this on the news/live in the Beaumont area and know about it already, but I thought sharing it might help since so many people frequent the forum.

FUNDRAISING SUPPER/SILENT AUCTION TO BENEFIT LOGAN AND SCARLET ASPHOLM

We need your help.

Logan and Scarlet Aspholm, ages 3 and 2, have been diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder, called Metachromatic Leukodystrophy (MLD). MLD causes loss of communication between the brain and the nerves, causing loss of abilities and eventually death. Life expectancy is approximately 9 years. Currently there is no known cure for MLD. The family has been made aware of clinical studies in other countries that have the possibility of prolonging their life, and stopping the disease progression. However all costs for this must come out of pocket, and the costs are enormous. Additionally, the family will need to retrofit their home for wheelchair accessibility and provide ongoing care for life.

**We are organizing a fundraiser at the Leduc Recreation Centre for June 16 2012, and are looking for Silent Auction Donations. Monetary Donations directly to the cause are also greatly appreciated.**

All proceeds will be going directly to the Aspholm family to help the kids.

Tickets: Adult (13 and Up) $20.00, Ages 7-12 $10, Ages 6 and under FREE
Time: 4pm -Family/Kids Activities, 6pm – Supper, 7pm - Auction
DANCE WITH LIVE MUSIC TO FOLLOW *there will be alcohol at this event*

It's not much, I don't have much right now but I will donate a fish bonker. They retail at $85.00 so hopefully there will be a fisherman or 2 there.
