I really like pellican spoons. They put the actual fish color onto the lure. They are double sided and the paint never comes off. Work great for pike but i love husky jerks tho!!!!!!

trusty 5 of diamonds or Gold and orange in a # 00 1/2 oz or 1 3/4 oz spoon .
But my favorite would be a storm perch , or a bbjtackle spinner with colorado blade .

What ever is working best that day.

Though my black on white LT is usually first out of the box.

The storm perch or pike are nice as well.

For me it always seems to be Len thompson platinum series blue/silver in various sizes. Second best is a 4" williams wabler in gold. Both are spoons I let the lady pick out and work better than any of the patterns I seem to choose!

It's turning into a frog spring, they're everywhere, so I'm not suprised that pattern works right now. Some bigger fish of any sort must be gorging right now on the smaller species of food that didn't fair so well with the flooding.

My favorite spoon is LT Black/White on hot sunny days and a weird spoon I made last year that looks like a cutting from Elvis's fat period cape.

I always tell my son that if you could tie a hook to a quater, you'll catch a pike! Anything shiny gets them either hungry or ****ed off.

I could do that quite easily except youd be defaceing canadian curency or whatever they call it . I was gonna make a spinner that was weighted with a Quarter and a loonie .

Hummmmmmmm Maybe ill take my chances .

I am surprised at the variety of responses....I was fairly sure that they wuld all be:

Len Thompson red and white, five of diamonds (black and yellow), brass, green and black, and firetiger.

Oddly I have a LT green/black , blue/silver and firetiger with no teeth marks in them at all. But I have mepps cyclops in blue/silver and firetiger that are completely torn up.

I am open to any ideas on what caused that.
