Default Black powder bullets

Hi what is the best kind of 50 caliber bullets to use on deer. Something that do es not cause so much damage like 250 grain Hornady pistol bullets. Thxs guys

Really depends on what you are shooting them out of. With a sidelock percussion or flint, a round ball is hard to beat. In a inline ML, swaged/cast 50 Cal is well worth a try. They are accurate, penetrate real well and kill effectively. If you want more speed than 2100 fps you will need to shoot a sabot round and those have lots of bullets choices. Barnes mz expanders 45/50 bullets for 50 caliber sabots are both very accurate and have good terminal performance.

Shot through the ribs and both lungs does not damage significant meat.
Damage equals dead.
You want less?
