Default Russian Bombers Nibbling at UK airspace

Seems that the Russians are pushing out their elbows and stressing the British:

Whilst many seem happy that the Russian economy has tanked, personally I am concerned where this will all lead and whether it would be better to help them stabilize their economy and lift sanctions. Maybe pushing the pear into the corner is not the most strategic of plans.

You're kidding, RIGHT!!! ????

How do you stabilize a corrupt economy where the Oligarchs steal the country's wealth from the middle class?

How do you stabilize a "democracy" with a voter turnout of 116 %??

How do you stabilize a country that is bent on retaking their former puppet states that want nothing to do with their former Tyrant??

Or should we just play nice while the rest of the world has to live in fear of what Putin wants to take next?

Looks like old Vladimir Poutine is feeling the pressure. No harm in poking a toothless bear.

I think you should get off the fence and let me know what you really think.

Russians have been invading and testing airspace for years. Nothing new here.

Keep the pressure high on them. Absolute last thing to do is to appease them. Poor Putin?......sheesh.

Maybe they'd like Alaska and we can call it square.....

Actually Score, this 'is' something new, and constitutes a significant escalation!

This time they flew their bombers in a civilian 'very high traffic' area, causing major disruption to civil aviation. And to make matters worse, they turned their transponders off, so they could only be seen on military radar.

That's my "buddy" Vlad The Great! Always pushing, alway bulling. After he played the European union with the Turkish pipeline deal he thinks that he outsmarted the whole continent. Hate to sayit but to the certain degree he did....Russian economy is suffering big time, food is doubling in price since ruble fall 50%.... How to deal with this issue without calling the population to hate him? Let's find somebody who we can blame for out troubles. Like the west.

Problem is that the Western approach to bullying has deteriorated to telling the principal. A good kick in the balls would be a more appropriate response.

Agree, but unfortunately he is a wrong guy to kick in a balls. He might kick back, Russian military is not a joke....especially when it is "high" on patriotism and Russian nationalism.

Now that oil and mining has tanked, they may as well have it as there is nothing of value there,

Oh, alright. I hadn't read that much into it. I heard they flew along the airspace and wouldn't talk to controllers. They are definitely flying under the world's "very dangerous" radar it would seem.
The recent deal with Iran is very troubling. The invite to North Korea as well.

This is what happens when the West retreats and shows weakness.

In my neighborhood, they're already here!

I'm glad to have them, because they make great neighbours. And they're glad to be here, and out of Russia!

There's still pretty good hunting up there. (This is still a hunting forum right?)
