I heard this too. why?

I had a great time, I think the Hoyt guys where interesting and informative.
I thought it was a treat , to see Pros's and world champion, archers in action.
Kevin Wilkey , showed me a couple of tips. When else would someone get this chance?
If " PSE" or Mathews, Bowtech or any bow company wants to step up and give out a bunch of bows, Ya! good for every one.
And wants to have a shoot off of just there bow shooters . Cool!! , do one group on one coarse and the other bow company on another.
I say the winner of each shoot off in the end. More winners of bows, cool! good for every one.
I really hope this is not true and HOYT is Back next year!

Unfortunately there is THE 4 page discussion on this subject at Bowzone under the 3d category. Gong show.

Someone want to provide the coles notes version for those not on Bowzone.

Haven't shoot in the event yet but was thinking I would like to give it a try.

Well as it seems there has been alot of hype shrouding the recent shoot. This is what has been discussed recently on Bowzone, in condenced form.

There is complaints from participants in MOAS that two Hoyt pro shooters caused various negative events.
These two Pro shooters also donated funds to the junior achery programs and as said by the vast majority were open to talking and more then willing to help people out......

Issue 1

Viewpoint 1. A pro shooter continued in the Barney shoot even after being knocked out.
vIEWPOINT 2. There isn't any evidence of this fact, actually there is evidence that the pro shooter DID NOT continue shooting.

Issue 2Viewpoint 1. A pro shooter replaced himself as the paid announcer on the stand which caused the sequence of events planned not to go in order.
Viewpoint 2. Surounding people heard the pro shooter ask the paid announcer to talk for a bit, which the announcer granted and walked off leaving the stand to the pro shooter.

Issue 3.
Viewpoint 1.A shooter from the floor and a pro staff archer had a diffrence of opinion.
Actual story. The shooter did say that at first the pro shooter seemed to be a little high on himself but by the end of the shoot he retracted his statement saying that the gentleman warmed up and that he spoke rather hastily about his original opinion of the man.

So some other events that dissapionted some people were: a volunteer at the shoot who donated a generous amount of money, was not mentioned in any way or given credit, there was an conversation in the rest room between a pro staffer and a booth vendor(no one knows what was said).

And to put the the icing on the cake a letter was sent to THE Hoyt PRESIDENTthat included slanderous name calling and accussations.

Anyways thats about as short as you'll get, either way, its messed up to say the least.
