Winchester 94AE Broken Link

Scored a model 94 in 307 Winchester knowing it had an issue, the link is broken. Anyone seen this happen? Is it common? Where can one source these parts in Alberta. Only one I know of is Western Gun Parts but I believe the previous owner called there and no dice? Used parts? Was told the link is pretty generic. Yes my first model 94 TIA
