Default Got me a 7mm

Well guys I picked up a Remington 700 BDL 7mm from a fellow member. Gave it a good scrub down and will put a scope on it. The plan is to hit the range this week with some factory ammo and see how it does and how I like it.
Thanks to all of you that offered advice and opinions. I appreciate it.

Was looking at reloading if I like the rifle and it shoots well, brass and dies no problem, But can't find any magnum primers anywhere.

I have an older M700 BDL as well, it's a very accurate rig. Mine likes the 150 gr Barnes, sub MOA and very effective. I'm sure you will put it to good use.

A 700 bdl in 7mmremmag , a classic combination. I bought one myself in 1980, and used it until 1990, when my go to cartridge became the 7mmstw. I have owned a few rifles in 7mmremmag since, but most were purchased for friends or for resale, because the deal was too good to pass up.

My dad hunted with this factory stainless barreled 7MM RM ADL exclusively for over 30 years. It has taken truck loads of game. He has handloaded for it exclusively since the early 70’s when he bought it. Great combination.

Thanks guys. It’s not a perfect specimen but not bad. I will be swapping out a Burris for now and then something nice.

I’ve owned my 7mm BDL LH since the late 80’s second hand.
Love it. Serial # says made in 1980.

Currently loading 162 ELDX’s with H-4350.

Any issues or worry with that bullet seated so deep, down past the donut? I'm finding the same thing with 150TTSX in my .30-06, has me a little on edge.

Factory Barnes Vor-tx ammo, no issues, groups exceptionally good.
