I have been thinking of getting a tripod Stand to mostly rifle hunt from. Just been looking online and I have never hunted from one before. Just curious if any of you have used one, which models you prefer, pros cons etc..
Also, if you have had any issues with theft or other hunters. I wouldn't mind other guys hunting from it when I am not there just as long as they show some respect.
I bought one this fall after the season because it was priced at a good discount. I think it may not be quite as good as setting up the real thing but will be quicker to set up and move and can be used where there are not suitable stand trees. I think it will work well where visibility is reduced by lower brush but there are still some larger trees to break up the outline of the stand. The seat is easily removed from the top and I would not want to leave it with the stand when unattended. It's called "Big Game" and I have not looked at others so have nothing to compare with.
