Default Puma or Boker Knives?

Looking for a good hunting knife. Should I go with Puma or Boker?

Buy both! I have several knives including 1 Boker and several Puma. They are all excellent, well made tools. I would probably own more Boker knives but they are a lot harder to come across.

Have a look at Bark River knives. Esp the Elmax ones. I have 2, a Montana Guide and a Wolf River. Both are really good.

If you haven't looked at them before - have a looks at Knives of Alaska. They make a great, well balanced knife that holds it edge for a long time. I'm going to buy another one in S30V steel!!

Go for the Boker, unless you can find an old Puma, the new ones are cheap.

Either company has a good knife s. I own some of both and they are generally very good at the purpose they are made for. They both can use german steel in the construction of the knives. I purchased a boker buffalo soul II for a gift and after getting the blade sharpened its sharp and hold a pretty good edge. I had troubles parting with it when the time came. Puma knives are nice all around...but from people who own the older versions they say that the quality has changed. I havent seen one to compare to mine but the antler handles are very nice.

Boker has German steel also, can't go wrong with any of these...top to bottom Buck Special, Boker Redbone 2006, Grohmann Canadian Army, Schrade Uncle Henry and Puma Hunter's Pal
