The sheds scored at 169 and change typical. I'll post the measurements tonight. They are being entered into the Alberta Fish and Game record book as found sheds. Pictures do not do these sheds justice.

I must have been off on the tine lenths, guess they must have appeared deceptively short to me with that awesome mass.

Smile Got some measurements.

Stopped by my friends house to get some measurements and he hasn't got the score sheet back. Being the good friend that he is he gave me the sheds to take home and put the tape to them.

Giving the sheds a 20" spread I am getting 170 3/8 before deductions. With deductions I'm getting 166 3/8.(??) Friend says the score sheet said 169 3/8 Typ. Could be using a 23" spread credit which looks about right when holding them in position or maybe I'm off a little bit. Either way I just wanted to share these crazy massive 4X4 sheds. One really has to put them in there hands to see how much bone is actually there.

Here's some more pictures with a tape beside. Hope they do it justice.

Wow!! I was thinking around 150 ish... That is one Mega 4X4 if his inches add up to 170 with a 20" spread credit.

Holy %#^

I think u scored him wrong he should have only 3 mass measurements per side. If he is a 4/4 but I could be wrong. Still a beauty.

H: CIRCUMFERENCES
Circumferences are taken at the narrowest place as detailed in Figure C for each measurement. If the brow point is missing, take H-1 and H-2 at the smallest place between the burr and the G-2 point. If the G-4 point is missing, take H-4 halfway between the G-3 point and the tip of the main beam.

Awesome deer, hopefully you have him in your crosshairs next year

Tough to tell from a couple pics, but in the second pic if you counterclockwise the tape an hour it doesn't look like the G2 would make 12 2/8...appears more 10ish...but prob just angle of pic tape etc...just an awesome find congrats...

I don't see 12" tines either from those photos provided sorry. Got any better photos. Maybe one where it's laying on main beam with tines sticking straight up & not at a weird height.hope to see more photos of a big 4x4.

Thanks for sharing sure has peaked my interest.

That mass is awesome non the less. Awesome set of sheds.

No chance this deer goes close to the 170's. Take some time and find some pics of real 170 class 4X4's and you'll see there's no comparison.

Someone measured wrong or didn't know what they were doing. Judging by the pics, they'll go 155-ish.

Well for starters I have measured quite a few deer. Also if you would read the whole thread you would know that it was also scored at a fish and game antler scoring event and there is only a slight difference in the 2 scores.

But, just to make you happy I will find a 1/4" tape measure instead of using a flexible wire and tape (which is more accurate) and post some pics. Of the measurements that I posted which ones do you not agree with, cause I am not posting a pics of every measurement. I'll do the G2's for sure, cause others are questioning.

my measuring of a beer can and mspaint skills say that the g1 measurements are really close. He's definitely a monster, could I get the gps coordinates of where the drops were found, for research purposes into his true size?
