What a cool buck, drops on both sides, talk about a dream buck.
Only once in my life have I seen a double dropper in real life, and just my luck it had almost all it's points on the top busted off by the time I seen him!

I've seen some monsters around the Wandering River area over the years, some real bush bucks in 503.

I have a sentimental attachment to double-drop tine bucks. *sigh*

Over the years many fine deer have been harvested in that area. Good genetics in that area of the province. Buddy has a few trail cams set up in the area, and constantly gets huge deer pics on them.

Problem for the bush WMUs is that its only two soft winters back to back, so not enough time for big deer to grow real big.
All the big deer are in the farm fringe where they have survived over the last 4 - 5 winters by getting into cow pastures, or getting up against bale stacks, to feed. remember we had a lot of 4 foot snow 3 - 5 winters ago.
If there was active winter logging, then the equipment kept the snow down enough and there was enough browse from the downed tree tops, that the deer had a chance in the bush, but that is still not much for year to year survival.
What you are seeing in that deer is likely a farm fringe buck, and yes, a gagger. Hopefully we have a few more mild winters so the deer can rebound in the bush as well.

Yeah it's hard to tell the origin of these critter once they hit the internet, remember that big ol' pike that was going around a few years back?
People who " knew the guy who was with the guy who caught it"etc swore it came from every puddle of water between here and lake Ontario!
Have to admit though, Labiche is a bit closer to Cherry Grove than Wandering River- if it come fro Cherry Grove!
It would be nice if the guy who found it showed on a site.
