Default 44 Magnum Cartridge

Looking at what you folks have put together and had success with this cartridge with regards to bullet types, powders used too. Looking for a combination that is more of a do all bullet from large predators to game animals. Is there across the counter cartridge/bullet combinations that you are very happy with the performance of with regards to accuracy/game results.
Any feed back would be appreciated.

I've never shot any thing with my 44 but I would think Barnes might have something you're looking for.

I ran 265 gr Hornady flat points over a heathy dose of 4227, when I had my lever gun, shot great, but you better keep you cheek on the stock.
I got a good deal on 1000 gas checked 240’s which I ran for plinking and lighter going, I nestled them on top of a moderate dose of Unique.

Arrow

my son shot a 250 pound black bear last may with his winchester 94 in 44 magnum shooting 240 grain winchester white box. it performed fantastically, bear didnt go 15 yards. can also shoot about 1" groups at 50 yards open sights. I would for sure give Winchester ammo a look.

265gn Hornady Flat Point Interlock's in front of H110. Shooting out of a Ruger 77/44, my notes indicated that 23.0gn was a safe load for me, but I settled on 21.0gn for a great group. I have this rifle zeroed at 75 yards and wouldn't plan to shoot past this distance at game.

I hav only been fortunate enough to harvest 1 White Tail buck with this combination but was very happy with performance. The bullet passed through, large hole, and lots of blood, however tracking was not necessary as the buck didn't take more then 5 steps.

Small sample size but I'm confident at the distance stated this combination will take down anything I intend to hunt around home (deer, elk, moose).
