Default Black Labrador Retriever Theft

Hey everyone,

I posted a week ago about a lost 10 month old puppy in Edmonton Ritchie. Multiple witnesses said they saw a man in a truck take her from the intersection of Today I received a phone call from "Tyler" saying he had the dog and wanted a reward for her return. I told him we could meet up and he refused. I notified the police. But just want everyone to be on the lookout for this pup in case someone sees her in Edmonton. Also to watch out for scammers.

Thanks AO community

Aww man that sucks. Scummy dude for sure. Call him back and say offer him a big sum so he meets, then have a plain clothes cop with you lol. Did he say what part of town he is from? Can the cops track him by cell number, like an address?

Good luck in getting the dog back.

One low life scumbag followed by another. Wonder if it's the same person.

If there was ever a time when a human being needs a beat down, this would be it.

Is it actually your dog he has or is he just claiming to have her?

How did he want the reward money if he didn't want to meet up?

Dodgy as all **** I am sure

Extortion over kidnapping a puppy? This has to be one of the lowest things I've heard of recently.

Yeah I don't think he had the dog. Cops said that what people will do is cruise the missing dog ads on kijiji and Facebook and then call claiming to have the dog and threaten to hurt it etc if you don't send money. This guy claimed to be scared to meet up cause he got threats from other people telling him to "return" the dog.

Pay him 500 bucks and call it a lesson learned. Your lab is worth it. Worry about hurting him after she is home safe.

Obviously don't send money blind.

did you manage to get any kind of a description of the truck?
I will keep my eye out for her and will tell my family too as well, we live near Richie community and it's getting worse year by year around here.
try and contact you cable company and get them to monitor your call history to find a number. Or if they call back, use *57 on your phone if you're with shaw it should trace the call or *67 to call them back....
