Don`t laugh.
Forrest Gump.Tom Hanks was brilliant and in a world full of crap I like a nice feel good movie.
This one raises the hair on my arms, Apollo 13.Absolutley amazing that they made it back.Your blackberry has more computing power than that ship had.And it`s true.
For something that rivals Tom Hanks in Forest Gump...Slingblade with Billy Bob Thornton.First movie,he wrote ,directed and starred.Friggen amazing performance.
And last but certainly not least......Rocky (the first one}Another amazing job.And my favourite Christmas movie is A Christmas Carol with Ailister Simms, all the remakes are just crap compared to him.

Others

The Deer hunter
Apocalypse now
The last of the Mohicans
Usual suspects

Hatfields and Macoys was great. I have a few to add of my own. Rounders, Saving Private Ryan and although its not technically a movie, Band of Brothers. Alone in the Wilderness is always a great watch as well.
